OVERLAND PARK, Kan. (KCTV) – Lengthy deliberations and informational presentations at Board of Education meetings for the Shawnee Mission School District have led to a reversal of course in the district’s work toward a new boundary and a potential school closure.
In late August, parents from East Antioch Elementary School arrived at a Board of Education meeting and heard a list of recommended projects for consideration, including the proposed retirement of East Antioch Elementary.
