KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The drivers of two separate cars are under investigation for possible impairment after one person was killed and two others were injured in an overnight, wrong-way crash on Interstate 670.
According to the Kansas City Police Department, at about 2:45 a.m. Sunday, officers and medical personnel were called to the area of I-670 and Locust Street in the downtown loop on a reported crash with life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigations revealed that a Kia Optima had been driving eastbound in the westbound lanes of I-670 and crossing all lanes of traffic when the driver crashed into a Chevrolet Avalanche driving westbound on the highway…
