HOUSTON (CW39) — A DoorDash driver from Katy was caught with 23 pistols, over 11,000 rounds of ammunition and several bags of marijuana in the Rio Grande Valley earlier this month, Texas state troopers said.
On Thursday, July 9, a state trooper stopped a gray Chevrolet Silverado at an intersection in McAllen. The driver, identified as Elfego Salvador Benavides, of Katy, said he was traveling from Houston to Monterrey, Mexico, the Texas Department of Public Safety said.
