For more than 2,000 Cypress-area students, the start of a new school year will come with a new backpack, classroom supplies and the knowledge that their community is standing behind them.
Cy-Fair Helping Hands’ fifth annual Back-to-School Bash brought families, volunteers and local organizations together July 25 at Calvary Community Church for a morning centered on helping Cypress-Fairbanks ISD students begin the 2026-27 school year prepared and confident.
The event served families with limited incomes while offering more than school supplies. Children received books, met local first responders, visited community booths and took part in activities designed to make a potentially stressful season feel more like a celebration.
