Tennessee Highway Patrol Troopers Participate in Tip-A-Cop Fundraiser for Special Olympics Tennessee

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WOKI / WVLT) — Members of the Tennessee Highway Patrol and other law enforcement agencies across Tennessee are taking part in the annual Tip-A-Cop fundraiser Tuesday evening to benefit Special Olympics Tennessee.

The event is scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sept. 29 at participating Texas Roadhouse restaurants statewide. During the fundraiser, troopers and police officers volunteer as “celebrity waiters,” assisting restaurant staff while encouraging customers to make donations to support Special Olympics athletes.

Participating East Tennessee locations include:

  • Knoxville (Turkey Drive)
  • Knoxville (Kinzel Way)
  • Knoxville (Morrell Road)
  • Alcoa
  • Sevierville
  • Pigeon Forge
  • Morristown
  • Kingsport
  • Johnson City
  • Greeneville
