KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) – A stalled cold front is bringing persistent heavy rain through the weekend.
SATURDAY: The heaviest rain arrives in the morning as a frontal boundary lingers over the region. Many communities will see over an inch of accumulation, with localized flooding possible as downpours continue. The front will dip south in the afternoon, easing scattered showers around Knoxville as we approach kickoff. Isolated rain chances will still linger through the game. Highs will drop into the upper 70s under cloud cover and rain, with rain chances continuing overnight.
SUNDAY: The front begins pushing out of the region. Expect lingering morning showers in southeastern counties, with measurable rainfall and localized flooding risks near the Tennessee/North Carolina border. Rain will gradually taper off by late evening. Cooler air behind the front will keep highs in the mid to upper 70s.
MONDAY: A spotty early shower is possible, but overall Monday stays nice and dry with mostly sunny skies. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 70s, with breezy conditions throughout the day…
