Lafayette hospital helps in successful transplant of liver from 91-year-old woman

LAFAYETTE, La. (KLFY) — Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center recently made history with its part in an liver transplant using the oldest organ donation on record in Louisiana.

The liver belonging to a 91-year-old woman, Doris Batiste Broussard, who died at Ochsner Lafayette General was successfully transplanted into a 68-year-old man in Tampa, Florida.
