A St. Landry Parish jury on Wednesday found Jaykri Mykel Altrevan Paddio of Sunset guilty in the 2022 murder of another Sunset man.
The jury found Paddio guilty of the second-degree murder of Jeremy Chaisson, who was 21, during a verbal altercation on East Martin Luther King Drive, according to a news release from the St. Landry Parish District Attorney’s Office.
Chaisson was sitting on his porch in Sunset on Aug. 5, 2022, when Paddio, then 17 years old, allegedly shot him once in the chest, the news release states. Chaisson was transported to a local hospital where he died several hours later…
