Opelousas shooting leaves 1 injured; teen arrested

OPELOUSAS, La. (NEWS 15) — One person is hospitalized and a teenager has been arrested after a shooting, according to the Opelousas Police Department.

A 16-year-old boy is charged with attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, illegal possession of a handgun by a juvenile, and aggravated assault. Police stated the teen is also charged with aggravated battery for a separate incident in March.
