Lancaster County man convicted after raping woman at knifepoint with child present: DA

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. (WHP) — A Lancaster County man was convicted last Friday after he broke into a woman’s home and raped her at knifepoint, according to the district attorney’s office.

In October 2024, Efrain Mateo, 50, broke into the home of a woman whom he had previously lived with. According to the district attorney, Mateo taped the woman’s arms behind her back and held a pocketknife to her throat, threatening to kill her if she screamed.
