Expect delays on I-81 southbound in Lebanon County this weekend: Here’s why

Motorists traveling on southbound Interstate 81 in Lebanon County should expect delays this weekend as crews perform maintenance work on a stretch of the highway.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that workers will apply a high friction surface treatment to a 0.6-mile section of the interstate near mile marker 93, located north of Exit 90 for Route 72 and Lebanon. The project is scheduled to begin at 5 a.m. Saturday, May 2, and continue until approximately midnight Sunday, May 3.
