Saline native, MSU prof takes up ‘Jeopardy!’ challenge this week

A mid-Michigan academic with southeast Michigan roots has a shot at becoming the next “Jeopardy!” champion when they take the stage on Friday, May 15.

Chayce Griffith, of Saline, an assistant professor of tree fruit physiology in Michigan State University’s Department of Horticulture, will appear on the Friday game show episode, according to MSU’s website and Jeopardy.com.

“2026 has been a strange year already, so let’s add to it. Catch me on the actual, honest-to-goodness Jeopardy! next Friday, 5/15,” Griffith said in a post on his LinkedIn profile…
