Kouri Richins juror: Undercover cop testimony was the turning point

LAS VEGAS (NewsNation) — The testimony of an undercover police officer — largely hidden from the public — was the moment a juror in the Kouri Richins murder trial began to believe prosecutors had built a strong case against the Utah mother, the juror told NewsNation Saturday at CrimeCon.

Christie Halverson, one of the jurors who convicted Richins, said the officer’s account of the fentanyl supply in the area at the time of the killing was the single most persuasive moment of the trial.
