Non-profit CEO applauds hospice license pause after years of industry problems

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Nathan Adelson Hospice CEO Karen Rubel applauded the state of Nevada’s recent moratorium on hospice licenses after years of identifying problems in the hospice system.

“What we’ve really been asking for over the last few years is to just take a pause. In Clark County alone, we were tracking about 300 hospice companies,” Rubel said. “And that’s just really a lot of hospices for our community.”
