Lexington’s restaurant scene is shaking up again. Two restaurants announced they are or have closed, but new things are coming in to their locations.
Here’s what is happening.
Ume Craft Ramen
Ume Craft Ramen, 867 S. Broadway, closed on Sept. 30. The restaurant, owned by Andy Chi, opened in late 2022 and served traditional Japanese ramen from a former Pie Five pizza restaurant location.
Now, Chi is opening Cha & Chi, which will serve Korean fried chicken, ramen, mochi doughnuts and boba tea. The new restaurant is expected to open later this fall.
Son of a Burger
Son of a Burger, 833 Georgetown St., announced on social media on Oct. 1 that it would be closing at the end of the week or when they run out of beef. The restaurant specialized in smash burgers with a specialty SOB sauce…
