Man arrested for allegedly carrying firearms into UK children’s hospital

LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — A man was arrested Friday after allegedly carrying firearms into the Golisano Children’s Hospital at UK.

The University Police Department received a call around 6:30 p.m. May 22 about a person allegedly carrying firearms into the children’s hospital.

According to an arrest citation, the man reportedly identified himself as Kaleb Ferguson. He was seen carrying a handgun on the fourth floor of the hospital.

Officials said that the suspect ran through the Ronald McDonald room and through several doorways. Police, knowing that the hallway was a loop, went back through the Ronald McDonald room.

Court documents indicate that a nurse tackled the suspect to the ground, and officers apprehended him…
