Maverick Transportation on May 13 said that its flatbed over-the-road drivers will receive a 4-cent-per-mile pay increase effective May 31.
The increase will raise starting pay for student flatbed drivers to 59 cents per mile, with first-year average earnings of $73,000 to $80,000, according to the company. Experienced drivers will earn 63 to 67 cents per mile, with first-year average earnings of $84,000 to $96,000.
