A member of the Wilson High School surfing team is suing the Long Beach Unified School District in California for allegedly failing to protect him. The surfer claims his teammates beat him and threatened to kill him, and they did little to stop it from happening.
William Frey claims that two of his surfing teammates viciously assaulted him, leaving him with two cuts, bruises all over his back, and swelling on his head. He also claims they caused more than $5,000 worth of property damage to his family’s home.
According to the lawsuit obtained by the California Post, the attack occurred because one of Frey’s surfing teammates was upset that he was hanging out with his younger sister. While at home with his teammate’s sister, he claims his surfing teammate called and threatened “to beat the s— out of him.” Minutes later, the lawsuit claims, Frey’s teammate arrived at his home, demanding he open the door and threatening to kill him…
