Jeep tears through Rossmoor entrance wall, masons use brick stockpile to quickly repair

Rossmoor Community Service District officials sprung into action quickly to fix a gash in a neighborhood “signature” wall on June 29 after a Jeep apparently plowed into it at the corner of Los Alamitos Blvd and Orangewood.

RCSD General Manager Sharon Landers said a quick-thinking witness was able to get the vehicle license plate. “We are hopeful the California Highway Patrol and local police are able to track down the driver,” she said.

The district, without a police force of its own, must rely on CHP for most of its highway enforcement issues.

Fortunately, although it is a heavily used sidewalk, no one was there at the time, so there were no injuries…
