After clearing the Williamson Street encampment Tuesday morning and directing protesters to leave so the intersection could reopen, the City of Madison transported personal belongings collected from the site to Demetral Park, a little over a mile away on Madison’s East Side, where they are being held for retrieval.
City staff has been on hand yesterday and will be on hand until noon today to help get belongings back to their owners.
Beginning Thursday, Aug. 6, individuals seeking to recover personal property left at the Williamson/Baldwin Street encampment area may do so by following this process:
- Email [email protected] or call 608-266-4711.
- Provide your name, phone number, and indicate that you are requesting to recover personal property from the Williamson/Baldwin Street occupation area.
- Include a detailed description of the property you are seeking.
