TOWN OF WESTPORT, Wis. — A Waunakee man will serve nine months in the Dane County Jail after a Dane County court sentenced him in a case involving him threatening a woman with a gun last year, according to online court records.
The man, Harry McCormick, 39, was sentenced after prosecutors alleged that he threatened the woman on Dec. 21, 2025. She escaped before police arrived. When she later returned home, McCormick displayed a weapon that appeared to be a folding switchblade knife.
Authorities attempted to contact McCormick that night and during the following week, but he avoided communication with law enforcement. Officers later arrested him and recovered multiple firearms from his home…
