Middle-income housing options make debut in Crosstown

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A new middle-income cottage court has made its debut in Memphis’ Crosstown area.

City leaders marked the completion of Belle Mont with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday afternoon.

The 23-unit cottage court community was built on a former empty lot on North Montgomery Street, less than a half mile away from Crosstown Concourse.

The project is part of the Memphis Middle-Income Housing Pilot Program (MI-Pilot), a city-led effort to develop affordable housing options that bridge the gap between traditional single-family homes and large apartment complexes…
