A 22-year-old man who drowned while tubing on an Arizona river had just graduated from college days earlier.

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to reports of a missing person on the Salt River on Saturday, May 23, around 3:15 p.m. local time, a spokesperson for the department shared in an email to PEOPLE.
