On August 29, the riverfront hotspot is swapping out the catwalk for the dogwalk and inviting the city for Paws & Pose: The Fashion Paw-ty. The glamorous affair will feature all kinds of stylish pups, celebrity judges and a runway competition where the grand prize is a private yacht charter experience.
Whether you’re entering your four-legged friend into the fashion show or want to sip rosé while watching the cutest dogs strut their stuff, the afternoon will be packed with photo ops, a live DJ and portrait artist sketching custom keepsakes for the first two hours. There will also be an exclusive Pup-Up Boutique featuring a luxury collection from Allysa Payne Beverly Hills.
Of course, attendees can expect a special menu for the occasion that’s sure to get tails wagging. For humans, they’ll get a signature brunch entrée and their choice of a glass of rosé or a “Barkarita.” Pets will get spoiled too, with a pup cup and waffle treat sponsored by Chompagne, but chances are they’ll be giving you the puppy eyes for some of what’s on your plate.
How to participate in the fashion show
The highlight of Paws & Pose begins at 2:30 p.m., when 20 to 25 dogs hit the runway and are judged by a panel of four local celebrities. The stakes for this canine competition are high, with the grand prize being a four-hour private Kiki yacht charter.
