After months of having it on my “places to try” list, plus a failed attempt at dinner one day, I finally made it to Yoso Sushi in Upper Buena Vista.
Why it matters: Amid Miami’s expansive (and usually expensive) omakase and hand roll scene, the small, six-seat sushi bar offers really great rolls at an affordable price — especially during happy hour.

What we ordered: The salmon crispy rice ($10): perfect crispy rice-to-heap-of-salmon ratio.
- Cucumber kimchi ($6): spicy but refreshing.
- Butter krab roll ($10): buttery texture, full of flavor.
