12th Annual Ride for Carrie Motorcycle Run to benefit Elk River nataive

The 12th Annual Ride On 4 Carrie Motorcycle Run will be held Saturday, Sept. 12. The event benefits cancer warriors in memory of Carrie Stenson-Hansen. This year’s run will benefit Kristina Thompson and Serena Rebechini.

Kristina grew up in Elk River and has been a longtime employee at Maynards. She was diagnosed with Stage 4 HER2+ metastatic breast cancer in March. The cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, lungs, liver and bones, causing fractures, severe pain and daily physical challenges. She is not a surgical candidate and currently receives chemotherapy every three weeks, along with bone-strengthening treatments. Lifelong therapy will be part of her journey.
