ST PAUL, Minn. — The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) has identified the two Richfield police officers who fired their weapons in an incident last week that left a theft suspect dead and one of the officers injured.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the man killed as 27-year-old Desaver Brian Hollis of Plymouth.
In a news release, the BCA said Sgt. Mario Leon and Sgt. Kristian Schultz both fired their department-issued firearms; Schultz also fired his department-issued taser. The BCA said Leon has six years of law enforcement experience and Schultz has eight years of experience in law enforcement…
