Restoration project will transform Stone Arch area into native green space honoring Dakota heritage

MINNEAPOLIS — The area around the Stone Arch Bridge and St. Anthony Falls in Minneapolis will soon be converted to green space to honor the Mississippi River and the Dakota people.

The Dakota-led nonprofit Owamniyomi Okhodayapi announced construction will begin later this month on a land restoration project along the river.
