2 charged with stealing $374,000 in silver from Eagan home

EAGAN, Minn. — Two Minnesota men are facing criminal charges after allegedly stealing $374,000 worth of silver from a home in Eagan last month.

Braidy Glen Allen, 38, of Champlin and Christopher Lee Brandt, 42, of Marshall, are each charged with one count of first-degree burglary and one count of theft over $5,000.

According to the complaint, the pair broke into an Eagan home on April 17 and stole several silver bars from the basement. The complaint indicates Allen was aware of the bars after previously living with the homeowners. In all, the complaint states about 4,300 ounces of silver were stolen from the home…
