(FOX40.COM) — A man was killed in a car crash over the weekend in Tuolumne County, the California Highway Patrol said.
Officers were dispatched around 11:19 a.m. Sunday to a crash reported on northbound La Grange Road, south of Avenida Lugo North. A 57-year-old man from Oakdale driving a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado at an unknown speed failed to navigate a curve and went off the roadway, crashing into a metal pole and a tree, CHP said.
The man, who was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear if drugs or alcohol are a factor in the crash. The driver’s identity will be announced after his next of kin has been notified, CHP said…
