Stockton food bank gets $1.15 million boost for warehouse expansion

STOCKTON, Calif. — The Stockton Emergency Food Bank is one step closer to expanding its operations as demand for food assistance continues to rise in San Joaquin County.

Leonard Hansen, CEO of the foodbank, said 83,690 county residents are unsure where their next meal is coming from.

“73,589 of them appeared in the line in front of the food bank last year,” Hansen said. “We’re serving well over three times as many people a day as we used to in 2019.”…
