Firefighters put out an afternoon blaze on May 9 at a Montgomery commercial strip mall.
At 2:06 p.m., Montgomery Fire/Rescue responded to the 8400 block of Crossland Loop. Heavy smoke and flames were visible from the strip mall, said District Fire Chief K.R. Peoples. Initial responders attacked the fire from the exterior to contain it. Because of then fire’s severity, additional MFR units were dispatched to assist. Peoples said MFR was able to confine the blaze to the one building.
No one was found inside the building during the fire, and no injuries were reported from firefighters or civilians…
