The weather becomes more unsettled this week

An unsettled weather pattern will be with us for most of the week and into the holiday weekend. Daily chances of showers and thunderstorms beginning Wednesday and lasting through the start of next week. Good news is severe weather chances look low.

Out the door this morning is warm with temperatures in the 60s. This afternoon we will see mostly sunny skies with temperatures back around 90. Again a stray shower is possible across NE Alabama. Little change is expected on Tuesday with highs in the upper 80s and just a slim shower chance during the day.

Showers and thunderstorms will break out and become more numerous starting on Wednesday. From there through the holiday weekend we’re likely see daily rounds of showers and storms. Severe weather isn’t likely, but as is typical with summer storms heavy downpours and frequent lightning can be expected at times. Temperatures will generally run in the low 80s for highs with overnight lows in the 60s through the holiday weekend…
