HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A wanted man was found hiding under insulation inside an Horry County home after barricading himself in the home for more than three hours, the sheriff’s office says.
Deputies with the Horry County Sheriff’s Office went to a home on Friday on Guinevere Circle in the Myrtle Beach area to serve a bench warrant for failure to appear.
After identifying the suspect, Nicholas Tate, deputies said they saw him enter the home where he ignored several call-out attempts and barricaded himself inside.
Once deputies secured a search warrant, the sheriff’s office says the Special Response Team entered the home and found an opening into the attic.
