Man struck by motorcycle in Myrtle Beach dies hours later

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — A 36-year-old man died Sunday just hours after being struck by a motorcycle on North Kings Highway in Myrtle Beach.

Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard said Michael Whiteis died at 1 a.m. at the Grand Strand Regional Medical Center. He was hit attempting to cross the southbound lanes of Kings Highway on foot around 9:30 p.m. Saturday.
