SPRINGFIELD — Gov. JB Pritzker says legislation aimed at keeping the Chicago Bears in Illinois is still taking shape in the Illinois Senate as lawmakers face a looming deadline to act.
Speaking Friday, Pritzker said work continues on the so-called “megaprojects” bill, which is designed to provide property tax certainty for large developments, including a proposed $5 billion stadium and entertainment district in Arlington Heights.
The measure has already passed the Illinois House and now awaits action in the Senate, where details are still being negotiated…
