Aurora East Side Chaos as Teen, 53-Year-Old Shot Inside Home

Two men were shot inside a home on Aurora’s East Side Thursday night, leaving a 19-year-old and a 53-year-old hospitalized. Both victims were reported in serious but stable condition, and police said there was no indication of a continuing threat to the community.

Officers were called to the 1900 block of Westridge Place at about 10:18 p.m., where they found the wounded men and called in paramedics. Both were taken to local hospitals, and the teen was later transferred for additional treatment. The department shared information about the response and the ongoing investigation, according to Shaw Local.

Police: Multiple rounds fired, evidence recovered

Investigators recovered multiple shell casings at the scene and said several rounds struck the residence before those involved took off. No arrests have been announced. Detectives from the Aurora Police Investigations Bureau are reviewing the evidence and following leads, Daily Herald reports.
