MNPD increases patrols after car break-in attempts caught on camera

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Metro police have stepped up patrols in an Antioch neighborhood after residents caught would-be car burglars on camera.

Home surveillance footage from the Oakwood subdivision showed what has neighbors on high alert: people trying to open car doors in the middle of the night.

“It’s kind of a crime of opportunity,” Sean Power, an Oakwood resident, said. “But I think if you’re not locking your car at night, then you’re kind of putting yourself in harm’s way.”
