Nashville man arrested for allegedly using screwdriver to siphon fuel out of small business’s van

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A Nashville man has been arrested after he allegedly used a screwdriver to siphon fuel out of a small business’s work van.

According to an affidavit, Metro Nashville Police were dispatched to 455 Donelson Pike on Wednesday after a reported gasoline theft. Surveillance footage showed the suspect, John Bruce, arriving at the business in a black Ford Crown Victoria and then getting out of the car with a gas can.

Bruce was then seen approaching a work van, crawling underneath and puncturing a hole in the fuel tank to take its gasoline. The victim told police that the damage to the fuel tank would cost more than $1,000 to fix. They also said that roughly $60 worth of gasoline was stolen…
