Man charged with performing fire inspections in Nashville without license

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — A 66-year-old man is accused of performing fire inspections at Nashville businesses without a license from the state of Tennessee.

According to Metro police, Wesley Mark Shaw’s license to perform fire system inspections and installations expired on Dec. 31, 2012.

On March 3, 2026 investigators were notified Shaw was performing inspections in 2025 into 2026 under a business not registered in Tennessee, according to court documents.
