After shooting Metairie woman, JPSO says murder suspect doubled back to pose as bystander

Minutes after fleeing from the courtyard of a Metairie apartment complex where he’d just shot a 21-year-old woman in the head, Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office investigators say Kennedy George stopped and doubled back to the crime scene.

As Sharde Cooper’s friends were frantically trying to help her and call authorities, George, 33, allegedly approached, posing as a passerby to ask the group, “What happened?”
