Slight humidity dip & afternoon storms for Wednesday

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) – Wednesday humidity levels are coming in for a slight dip by this afternoon which is just when some “summertime pattern” storms will begin to pass though southeast Louisiana and southern Mississippi.

Starting out on Wednesday, humidity levels will be in the “very humid” category then dropping to the “humid feels” through the early morning hours of Thursday.

Wednesday morning will be mostly sunny across the North Shore and Mississippi counties while partly cloudy skies will be seen for the South Shore then isolated to scattered storms will emerge come the afternoon with the first glimpse starting around late lunchtime for Terrebonne parish and the I-10/I-12 corridor.

More prevalent for the New Orleans metro areas by 3:30 p.m. and mellowing out by dinnertime so these showers and storms do have the potential to possible slow down or even impact your evening commute home from work.

Overall, we’ll be in the clear by the time we get to about 8/9 p.m…
