NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The demolition of the former Lindy Boggs Medical Center is set to begin Tuesday, Aug. 11.
The city plans to turn the site into a four-million-gallon stormwater retention facility, designed to hold water during heavy rain and slowly drain it. The roughly $16 million project includes both demolition and construction.
