NOPD seeks former felon in French Quarter-area shootout that wounded visiting teacher

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans police are searching for a 21-year-old convicted felon identified as an additional suspect in a July 25 shootout near the French Quarter that wounded two people, including a teacher visiting the city.

Dwan Butler, 21, also known as “Phoo,” is wanted for aggravated second-degree battery by shooting and illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
