KENNER, La. (WGNO) — Jefferson Parish officials hosted a groundbreaking for an inclusionary playground in Kenner Tuesday, Aug. 11.
According to Jefferson Parish officials, the playground is designed to meet legal minimums so people with disabilities can use the playground. It also intends to incorporate designs that integrate all children into the play experience. For example, there are multiple entry and exit points and varied challenge levels, sensory stimulating and quiet areas and equipment that invites social interaction.
