NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is trying to identify and arrest a suspect in an armed robbery investigation. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
According to police, the crime happened around 3:00 a.m. on July 23 Near the corner of Elysian Fields and Marais Street. Police also released security camera footage that shows some of what happened.
NOPD looking to catch Mid-City burglary suspect
In the video, a man is seen riding a bicycle while pointing, what police say, was a gun at a group of people on the sidewalk. Moments later, the man grabs a purse from a woman in the group then makes his escape.
According to police, the group of people were walking to their short-term rental and were unhurt during the robbery.
