A family known for selling tamales out of their car around New Orleans was out of work for two days last week after the vehicle was carjacked in the Marigny neighborhood. Sisters Yasmin Ramirez and Belquis Ruiz said they and other relatives were parking Wednesday near Frenchmen and Royal streets, planning to do some business in Faubourg Marigny, when a man got off his bicycle and hopped into Ramirez’s car.
