2 more arrested for murder in St. Claude shooting that killed Marine veteran, court records show

Two additional suspects have been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder in connection with a St. Claude shooting that left a Marine Corps veteran dead, court records show.

Mi’Janae Ingram, 20, and Joshua A. Emery Sr., 33, were each arrested on a count of second-degree murder in connection with the April 7 shooting that claimed the life of Michael Garcia, 41. Emery also faces 11 other counts, including aggravated assault with a firearm and domestic abuse battery involving strangulation.

Their apprehensions bring the total number of arrests in connection with the shooting to three. NOPD arrested Terrence Leavell, 48, on manslaughter, possession of a firearm by a felon and illegal use of weapons after detaining him near the scene of the shooting at North Claiborne Avenue and Desire Street…
