Man receives 40-year sentence for raping a minor in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A man was sentenced to 40 years in prison for raping a minor in New Orleans.

According to the Orleans Parish District Attorney’s Office, Lorenzo J. Oliver was convicted of second-degree rape of a minor. In December 2021, Lorenzo abducted a juvenile from a bus stop and transported her to another location, where she was sexually assaulted.
