BELLE CHASSE (WVUE) – Neighbors in Belle Chasse picked up tree limbs, roof shingles, parts of awnings and other debris scattered across neighborhoods Friday afternoon.
Strong storms moved through Plaquemines Parish around 4 p.m., bringing heavy rain and powerful winds through the suburb. Officials said no injuries were reported.
“We’ve had multiple calls for service, most of it is downed powerlines,” Plaquemines Parish Fire Dept. Superintendent Jonathan Butcher said. “It looks like a car port behind us came from a couple of houses down. A lot of it is trees and debris though.”…
